Earn Extra Money With Your Hobby or Passion
If you are like me you will have been watching or listening to the news about the economic situation around the world. Perhaps you are like many people that I have been talking to both online and offline who are wondering how to generate some extra income. We are all faced with the need to meet the rising costs in so many areas of our lives.
I know from my conversations both online and offline that many people are trying to think of how they can make extra money from home. But they are cautious or indeed as one friend told me recently scared of some of the hype filled stuff they see on the internet about making money online.
Now please don’t click away because you think I am going to tell you about some overpriced piece of nonsense that you simply must have! Just bear with me because I want to talk to you about the things you know about!
If you’re using the Internet, and you have a hobby or passion, then you need to know how to combine the two ingredients and start turning a profit from the very things you enjoy doing in life. Whether it’s gardening, genealogy, scrapbooking or any other of the range of hobbies that we all enjoy there is a way which you can generate extra money online. But if you are like me you won’t want to just throw something together and see whether you can sell it!
It’s true that hobbies sell well on the World Wide Web, whether it’s the tools and materials needed to allow others to fulfill their dreams, or instructions on how to do it. Some people just enjoy buying the fruits of your labor if your hobby is one that results in a work of art or item of interest to others.
Hobbies are a big business both on and off the ‘net. Go into any Barnes and Noble and people are still spending money left and right on heir hobbies – learning everything there is to know about them. Even with the economic problems people still want information to help them.
Information is probably one of the hottest commodities on the ‘net, and information on hobbies is one of the prime ways to earn extra money.
You can create a simple how-to information product on your hobby and release it on the ‘net on your own website, setting up an automated system to take the money and deliver the product to the customer.
Anything you can do can be turned into a hobby, from home repair to tracing names off of tombstones. Some are really off the wall hobbies that piqué people’s interest, like finding treasures in dumpsters.
Instead of creating a broad information product on your hobby, you could try to focus it more narrowly. Instead of a Guide to golf, for instance, try writing an eBook on How to Master Your Game Around the Green. Instead of a How To Scrapbook you could produce a series of reports on various scrapbooking techniques.
If cooking is your hobby, then you can make money on it by writing a How-to guide on cooking for diabetics or cooking with chocolate. You might even write an information product showing others how to make money from their cooking hobby!
Now that all sounds good doesn’t it! But and as my friend pointed out a lot of people don’t know where to start and when they look at some of the products that people offer to guide you through the entire process they are charging outrageous amounts. That’s why last week I was delighted to discover that a good friend of mine by the name of Kevin Riley had put together a complete Home Study Course.
